64 Lyall Parade

The exterior cladding of the old Lyall Bay cinema had deteriorated significantly due to natural weathering and neglect. After straightening structural timber battens over the entire exterior surface, we fitted dark bronze, anodised, aluminium weatherboards atop the existing cladding.

In combination with the aluminium weatherboards, we installed a polycarbonate product, Rodeca, which hadn’t before been used in Wellington. Not only is Rodeca a practical material for such windy and salty environments, the dazzling blue hue made this unique renovation a true showcase home.
